The Maroon Bells are one of the most photographed peaks in North America. Marvel at the surrounding beauty while you’re surrounded by 14,000-foot peaks. One of the Maroon Bells most iconic views is the reflection of the peaks in the water of Maroon Lake.
Make the most of your time at the Maroon Bells by arriving early in the morning. They only allow a limited number of cars to Maroon Lake until 8:00 am. Enjoy the 3.7-mile round trip hike to Crater Lake and enjoy spectacular, up-close views of the famed Maroon Bells.
If you don’t make it early enough to park at the lake, free parking and shuttles are available from Highland Ski Area.
For the adventurous types, with the limited vehicle traffic, Maroon Creek Road is perfect for biking, hiking, and even rollerblading!
