Celebrate the Holidays in Snowmass

In Snowmass the snow is falling and it’s time to book your holiday plans. Snowmass offers an array of delightful holiday activities from skiing and riding to holiday celebrations. Combine these great activities with the amenities and convenience of lodging with Snowmass Hospitality and you are in for a fantastic holiday season.

Snowmass Hospitality offers ski-in ski-out lodging on Snowmass Mountain, the largest mountain in the Aspen Snowmass area offering 3,300 acres of lift-access terrain. Snowmass Mountain also offers the longest descent in north America, two half pipes, three terrain parks and runs for any and all ages. The perfect place for a holiday vacation.

To complement the fantastic skiing and riding available on Snowmass Mountain the village area hosts a multitude of great, free events for the whole family during the holiday season. On December 21-24 Snowmass village is transformed into Santa’s Magical Village where kids can offer last minute requests to Santa Clause.

Another great ongoing tradition in the Snowmass Area are the Friday Nights at Elk Camp Restaurant or Ullr Nights when the whole Aspen Snowmass community comes together to celebrate the Norse god of snow, “Ullr.” The event is infamous for the wholesome celebration of the winter season offering snow tubing, snow biking, ice skating and s’mores around the campfire. This is a fantastic family event not to be missed this holiday season.

A great reason to celebrate the holiday season in the Snowmass area is the VIK program or “Very Important Kid” program. The VIK program is designed specifically for families visiting the Snowmass area and provides free activities every day for children. A few local favorites are the storytelling at the Ice Age Discovery Center and s’mores at the Westin fire pit just off the slopes. This is a great opportunity to have some kid-focused fun this holiday season.
