Besides the amazing skiing and snowboarding, children can ride a snowcat, go snow biking and learn about local animals. If you need a break, there are programs that will entertain and engage your children, while you enjoy some “adult time.”

Here are some ideas to boost the fun factor for kids during your Snowmass winter vacation.

Inside the restaurant, gourmet dishes, a full bar and live music set the stage for a night to remember. Don’t miss the bonfire!

Winter Wild Things
Children and adults can learn about the local mountain animals and their environment in this interactive nature program. All ages are welcome to this free activity on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Tuesday & Thursday: “Crafternoons”
What could be more entertaining than to create a handmade souvenir at the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center? During après-ski, children are encouraged to let their creativity to run wild with colored paper, scissors and paint. The supervised art projects include decorating photo frames and pillows, beautifying scarves and bedazzling treasure chests. The free sessions start December 15.

Campfire Story Hour & S’mores
Grab a seat by the campfire on the Snowmass Village Mall on Wednesdays, and get ready to be mesmerized by intriguing, old fashioned stories. Tall Tales from the old west are recounted by local master storytellers. Complimentary hot cocoa and s’mores. This free event begins December 14.
