Snowmass in Summer: Races, Festivals, Concerts


Snowmass events fill the calendar in the summer, because everyone wants to be outside, enjoying the low humidity, mild temperatures and sunny skies. To top it off, it’s easy participate or spectate because the events are well organized and easy to access.

Here are highlights of some events happening in Snowmass during the summer months.


Enduro World Series
July 30-31, 2016
As the only US host of the Enduro World Series in 2016, Aspen Snowmass has a special role in the global race. The Snowmass Bike Park course is specially designed to give competitors a unique riding experience, with high elevation trails and huge descents that test participant’s strength, perseverance and bike handling skills.

Audi Power of Four Race Series
August 6-7, 2016
The Audi Power of Four Race Series is a premier endurance race series incorporating the unique terrain of the four Aspen Snowmass mountains. Every race is set up to provide challenges for both elite and recreational athletes.

Tough Mudder
September 10-11, 2016
This year’s Tough Mudder features crazy terrain and new obstacles. Highlighting the largest elevation changes in North America, it’s one of the most extreme courses that you’ll suffer through in 2016.


Snowmass Craft Beer Rendezvous
June 11, 2016
What could be better than attending a Grand Tasting with 50 craft beers from around the state? Add a 5K run, delicious eats and a concert by the Royal Southern Brotherhood and you have a Saturday worth celebrating! Events take place on Fanny Hill at the Base of Snowmass Ski Area.

Wanderlust Aspen-Snowmass Yoga Festival
June 30 – July 3, 2016
If mindful living is your passion, or even if you think about it once in a while, the Wanderlust Festival is for you. Featuring yoga, meditation, uplifting music, and galvanizing speakers, get ready for a transformational experience.

Colorado Scottish Festival & Rocky Mountain Highland Games
August 5-7, 2016
Scotland’s favorite traditions are offered at this free festival. See folk dancers, the Caber (telephone pole) Throw, Dogs of the British Isles, and try to trace your family’s roots to the historic clans. Scottish music, dancing, and food are available, along with the spirited sounds of the bagpipes.


Snowmass Free Concert Series
June 11 – August 11, 2016
This music series brings everyone to Fanny Hill to listen, dine, and celebrate perfect summer evenings. Acts such as Royal Southern Brotherhood, Steel Pulse, Xavier Rudd, Leftover Cuties and Tartan Terrors fill the lineup. Bring your blanket, and enjoy adult beverages from the bar tent; then, grab a quick BBQ or pizza dinner. There’s a bounce house, face painting and juggling for the kids.

JAS Labor Day Experience
September 2-4, 2016
For the ultimate in mountain music, come to Snowmass and treat yourself to 3 days of world class performances by Stevie Wonder, Duran Duran, The Killers, Train, and Thievery Corporation. Besides the main stage, there are 2 side stages that keep the music going throughout the day with up-and-coming artists. The JAS Village features an amazing variety of food, shopping, beverage vendors, and a kids’ area.
