The holiday season is a magical time in Snowmass. The snow is usually falling, fires roaring and a feeling of celebration in the air. Snowmass Mountain helps to make this time even more special with an incredible torchlight parade and an amazing firework show.
The torchlight parade begins at 6:00 PM and features skiers with red torches skiing down the face of Snowmass Mountain, creating a consistent string of lights down the whole mountain. A beautiful and unique local new year’s tradition. The torchlight parade is open to skiers 8 and older who can ski without poles. Signup in the Ticket Pavilion at the Snowmass mall between December 25 and December 31 at 5 PM.
After the torchlight parade enjoy drinks and other new year’s festivities in town until 10 PM when the fireworks start! The high-quality pyrotechnics light up the sky and the surrounding West Elk Mountain Range, a beautiful and unique sight.
